THE YEAR OF 2011 IS DRAWING TO A CLOSE SOON. WE HAVE ENTERED THE FINAL QUARTER OF THE YEAR - AND WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN. SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO SAY THAT TO MAKE YOURSELF BETTER; SOMETIMES YOU STATE THAT THINGS ARE GOOD WHEN THEY ARE JUST GETTING BY. BUT THIS YEAR HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE SPECIAL. WE HAVE LEADERSHIP IN THE VOLUNTEER RANKS THAT ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. WE HONESTLY HAVE NEVER HAD LEADERS SO DEVOTED AND CONSISTENT AS THIS. AND WE CONTINUE TO BUILD AND GROW OUR TEAM. |

It is typical in today's world to defend your poor choices to the end or to blame them on all kinds of other people around you or to refuse to see that your sin was a sin at all. We have seen some wonderfully contrite hearts at X2 in recent days. God is greatly at work in the lives of some students who certainly did some bad choosing. It is not for us to get them to feel badly. For some who knew they were walking down a road that was not right and never spoke up, the responsibility hangs just as heavily. |

This week is SnowReach - that fun old time that we bounce into the cold wilderness of Chautauqua Hills and enjoy late evenings (and late mornings) of games and Bible study. A little indoor rugby bball is alway fun and the on-going challenge of signs and mafia is always a wonder to behold. for those who are attending don't forget: a 2 liter soda a bag of chips to share a sleeping bag pack in a small duffle bag a flash light would be good a Bible a pen and notebook winter clothes - it is still very much winter up there |

thanks to all ya'll for a great kick off week at PowerHouse! Human Barricade and Battle Goal: frisbee were a real blast. I hope you will all remember the challenges from this past week: know the Book - become the man or woman that God made you to be. This week I will be away with some of our youth and my girls at the Father/daughter camp at Hickory Hills. But in my stead, the faithful Korina Scime will be taking the mantle. sorry about last week's kick off of REFUEL being snowed out. |

What a fantastic XD Weekend! everyone came with a wonderful attitude and an expectation of finding Jesus in the midst of it all. thank you all who participated in this past weekend. I so look forward to the completion of God's work in you as a result of what He began here. I really enjoyed hearing Eric the YoungLife speaker again (same guy from our first year at camp). I thought this was a great addition to our weekend. Thanks to Korina for getting that together and for her wonderful leadership throughout the weekend. |

Winter Worship has been great as we have turned our attention fully to growing in the Word of God. Thank to all who have participated in it. We look forward to Burger Bash this Wednesday night (Jan. 26th) at Fuddruckers. Bring $3 and we will turn it into a burger, fries and a drink. Also this week is XD Weekend. It is really focused upon growing in leadership and towards leading others to the cross. How do you do this? By growing in the Word yourself. As you pour yourself into the Word, the Word of God has a wonderful way of spilling out of you. |

Every January for the past 15 years or so, it has been a wonderful habit of this ministry to stop, take a break and recalibrate to the whim of God's leaning. This year 2011 is no different. As I and the leaders of X2 have taken time to pray and fast this month, many things have become very clear to us. The first of that is the direction of the ministry for 2011. Know and Grow is our 2011 theme. It is all about getting to know God through His Word, the Bible. Coming along side of us to assist is Word of Life. |
